Allana Ferguson bio

Allana was selected to be a part of Australia during the Rugby Sevens 2013, but later knee injuries forced her on the sidelines. It took several years for Allana to return back into rugby league. Allana was the first woman to make her debut in the league game against Queensland for New South Wales. Allana is also adding radio into her arsenal, making regular appearances with the most popular Continuous Call Team on 2GB. Allana has a full teaching qualifications outside of sport. Allana Ferguson holds the rare distinction of playing for Australia in three sports, rugby sevens along with touch and rugby league. Allana Ferguson, Jillaroos' star rugby player is forced to end her professional career because of tearing her ACL four times. Ferguson has been in the sport for over 25 years. She had previously experienced tears in the same ligament at the age of 15, 17 and 20, and a 4th tear meant her time was done. Ferguson is the JILLAROOS team's player. She had to resign due to her fourth left ACL injury. After suffering the injury in November during training, Ferguson, who has been one of the faces of women's rugby league for these past few seasons, verified the news this week to The Courier Mail.
