Summer Bishil is an American actor who is most well-known for her role as Margo Hanson on the Syfy Fantasy drama The Magicians (2015-present). Her previous work was recognized by playing an American girl aged 13 Jasira Maroun as she goes through a series of turbulent personal struggles against the context of the U.S. military invasion of Iraq in the Gulf War in the Alan Ball film Towelhead. She was picked by Variety as one of the 10 actors they wanted to see. The year 2009 was the time she was the formidable Taslima in the film Crossing Over. She was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead in the film.
